Members of the Swiss branch of PEGIDA and the new far-right Direct Democratic Party of Switzerland (DPS) held a joint rally in front of the Bundeshaus in Bern, Thursday, ahead of Sunday's national elections.

SOT, Ignaz Bearth, DPS leader (German): "Our theme for the election campaign is 'stop asylum tourism, vote Direct Democratic Party Switzerland.' Our problem today is the illegal abuse of asylum. We have tens of thousands of illegal migrants who are traveling to Europe and who don't act along right and according to law, but illegally enter the country. We want to put a stop to all these criminals and send them all back."

SOT, DPS leader Ignaz Bearth (German): "A fact is that the DPS is pro-European. It is for a Europe of the nations, a Europe of the people. We also work together here with people from the Freedom Party of Austria (FPO), with Lega Nord, With Front National, with PEGIDA in Germany. Our opinion is that one Europe can only function when the people and nations are free and sovereign and this can only work with a direct democracy."

SOT, Mike Spielmann, Swiss PEGIDA leader (German): "(We want) to stop asylum tourism. That is for sure. We have a problem at the moment, also when it's played down. We can see it in Germany, we can see it in Austria. And that's the main issue."

SOT, Mike Spielmann, Swiss PEGIDA leader (German): "We are getting overpopulated, day by day, more and more are coming from the Africans states. The birth rate of the Europeans is very low and one day there won't be any anymore. One day we will extinct."

SOT, Mike Spielmann, Swiss PEGIDA leader (German): "What's bad about that? It should stay as it is. There should be different cultures and different races on different continents. And that's how it should continue to be."
